How to enable the USPS Plugin

The USPS plugin can be found in Admin | Plugins | Shipping Carriers | Available Plugins: "USPS"

Click on the USPS plugin and a green "Activate" button should appear. Click on this button to enable the plugin for your platform.

Now a prompt will appear to enter in your USPS API key. Please enter in your authentication information and click the connect button.

If you do not know or are unsure on how to obtain your USPS authentication keys, follow these next steps. Otherwise, skip the next section.

How to find your USPS API keys

  1. Log In/Create USPS Business Account

    1. Use the USPS Customer Onboarding Portal (COP)arrow-up-right, sign into your USPS Business Account, or create a new USPS Business Account. The COP will ensure that your USPS Business Account is configured for the USPS APIs.

  2. Create an App

    1. After finishing account setup through the COP, select My Apps on the top of the COP Business Portal page.

  3. Retrieve your Consumer Key and Secret

    1. Within COP, select your App and retrieve your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret from the Credentials section.

If you have entered your USPS Credentials into the plugin and clicked connect, congrats! USPS is now configured and tracking information will now be displayed for USPS tracking numbers.
