# Login

The **Login** section lets you control how customers sign in to the Customer Portal and how long their login session remains active.

From this section, you can choose the login method, enable additional authentication options, configure login lifetime, and decide whether to show a Remember Me option.

### Open the Login Settings

From the Customer Portal Builder, select **Login** from the left-side menu.

***

## Login Method

Use **Login Method** to choose how customers identify themselves when logging in.

| Option       | What it does                                         |
| ------------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Username** | Customers log in using their username credentials. |
| **Email** | Customers log in using their email-based login flow. |

Select the method that matches how you want customers to access their portal account.

## Authentication Type

The **Authentication Type** section lets you enable additional login options for customers.

### Two Factor Authentication

Turn on **Two Factor Authentication** to require customers to verify their identity using a supported authentication method.

| Setting      | What it does                                                             |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Enabled** | Customers must complete an additional verification step when logging in. |
| **Disabled** | Customers can log in without two-factor verification. |

This option requires a supported authentication method, such as email or SMS. Make sure the authentication method is configured in the funnel campaign before enabling this option.

### Login Link

Turn on **Login Link** to let customers receive a secure login link instead of signing in with standard credentials.

| Setting      | What it does                                                        |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Enabled** | Customers can request a login link and use it to access the portal. |
| **Disabled** | Login link access is not available. |

This is useful when you want to offer a simpler login experience, especially for customers who may not remember their password.

***

## Login Lifetime

Use **Login Lifetime (Hours)** to control how long a customer can remain logged in before they need to sign in again.

Example:

```
24
```

This means the customer’s login session can remain active for 24 hours.

The value must be entered in hours.

| **Enabled** | Customers can choose to stay signed in for easier future access. |
