Shipping Profiles with Checkout Champ

You can use a dropdown selector to allow your customers to choose from your various shipping options. This article will show instructions on how to add the shipping profile rules to your campaign and how to add the dropdown selector to the checkout page.

  • Create Shipping Profile within the campaign

  • Create option on checkout pages

  • Duplicating Shipping Profiles

  • Disable Shipping Price Display

Please note that the Shipping Profiles are dynamic. This means that only relevant Shipping Profile will display, depending on the rules within the profile. Examples:

  • If you have specific shipping rules for both US and Canada customers, the US customers will only see the shipping profiles with US rules and Canadian customers will only see the shipping profiles with CA rules.

  • If you have a profile with only a Free Shipping over $X, the profile will only display if the cart subtotal reaches your $X value.

Create Shipping Profile within the campaign

On the CRM side of your account, navigate to your campaign setup screen and edit the campaign where you want to add a shipping profile to. This should be the campaign that is tied to your funnel.

Scroll down to the bottom of the campaign sections to the Shipping Profiles area:

Click the “+” Button to create a new shipping profile for the campaign and fill out the configuration window.

Profile Name: Name of shipping profile Ship RefCode: Reference code specific for you fulfillment provider (optional) Ship Carrier: Choose from - USPS, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, and DHL (optional) Ship Method: These options will change based on the Ship Carrier chosen (optional) Freight TaxCode: Used for Avalara and TaxJar plugins

After you create the Shipping Profile, click the edit button on the profile to begin configuring the rules shipping profile.

The example above will only charge $5 total for shipping for the entire order, unless the base price of the order (excluding taxes and shipping) exceeds $75. In which case, shipping will be free to the customer.

On the left side inside the Shipping Profile you will see a few options:

  • Profile Name- Name of the shipping profile. Will be displayed on the dropdown selector.

  • Default Shipping- This profile will always be used by default unless another is specifically selected. This will set the profile to be pre-selected on the page.

  • Highest Ship Price- For multi-product orders, only the item with the greatest shipping price will be billed.

  • Upcharge Pricing- Prices set in Profile Rules will be added to the current ship total of the product. If unchecked, price points will override the shipping price set on the campaign product level.

  • Entire Order- Shipping Price will be set for the order as a whole instead of on a product by product basis. (Update after applying this option)

  • Free Shipping- Order shipping will be free if the base price of the order (not including shipping/taxes) is greater than the specified price point.

If you choose one of these options click on "Update" to save the setting before applying Profile Pricing rules.

To the right you will see Profile Pricing.

Here you will have the option to set shipping prices based off region and what product it applies to.

Note: If you choose “Entire Order” after you already created product rules it will not save after you update. You will need to remove the product rules in order to create rules for the entire order.

Create option on checkout pages

Go to funnel builder. Edit the funnel. Edit the checkout page on which to add the shipping profile.

Once inside the page editor, open the Building Blocks and then follow the appropriate instructions to use a Select element or Radio Buttons or Checkbox.

Depending on the length of your profile names, you might need to make the select element wider so the full profile names display. To do this, click on the Select element and open it’s Dimension settings. Here, use the Width slider or use the input field to add width to the Select element.

Drag a Radio Button to the page

By default the Radio Button element is Center justified. If you would like to align the options to the Left, click on the area surrounding the Radio Button (the element container) then open the Flex settings and click the Left Justify option.

You can do any additional styling to the button and the label and this styling will be used for each of the profile options. The label text will be replaced with the names of your profiles.

Drag a Form Checkbox to the page

Next, click on the newly placed Select and open the settings under the Style Manager.

In the Name field, select the Ship Profile option.

Next, click on the newly placed Radio Button and open the settings under the Style Manager.

In the Name field, type shipProfileId (case sensitive)

Next, click on the newly placed Checkbox and open the settings under the Style Manager.

In the Name field, type shipProfileId (case sensitive)

In the Value field enter the numeric id of the shipping profile

The checkbox can be checked by default. This is the only Shipping option on the page. If it is required to have consumers choose from multiple options then use Radio buttons.

Once this is complete, save the page and then publish the funnel. Go to the live site and test the functionality.

Note that the Shipping Profiles are dynamic. Only relevant profiles will display, depending on the rules within the profile.

Duplicating Shipping Profiles

Once you have shipping profiles setup for one campaign. You may want to use them again in another. It is easy to copy all of the shipping profiles from a campaign using the duplicate button in the campaign setup.

Disable Shipping Price Display

Should you prefer to not display the shipping prices during shipping profile selection, you may choose to disable shipping price display. Go to the Maintenance section of the Funnel Settings menu and check the box to “Disable shipping price display”.

This setting will still show the Shipping Profile names to the user. However, users would no longer see the displayed shipping prices. The shipping prices would still be visible in the Order Summary/Cart.
